I am thrilled you are considering using me to capture your memories. below is a little more about me and my journey to where I am today.

My brother Joe and I

My love for photography started at an incredibly young age and likely started from seeing how much my uncle loved photography. I remember always marveling over all the vintage cameras he kept at his house. As I got older, I remember entering my first photography competition in 8th grade, and thinking I had it in the bag. To my dismay, my images did not even garner an honorable mention. For high school, I attended Strake Jesuit where I was a part of the Strake Jesuit Educational Television (SJET) homeroom. SJET is the news production that the school puts on every morning. To stay in the homeroom, you had to create multiple videos each month. Learning how to use the camera for video was a great experience, but I never fell in love with the process. In the first semester of my senior year of high school, I took my first photography course, where I really found my love for photography. I knew photography was my passion when I saw the joy a good photograph can bring to the subject. A good photograph makes the subject and I happy. In my second semester of high school, I took the advanced photography course. At the end of the course, we had a show and I sold more prints than any of my classmates. Following the art show Jesuit held an art competition where I won best in medium for one of my images.

For college, I attended the University of Mississippi for my freshman year, where I had decided, briefly, I wanted to study journalism. After my freshman year, I realized that I wanted to go back to focusing on photography, so I explored the options Ole Miss had to offer, but could not find a fitting program. Instead of continuing at Ole Miss, I came back home to attend college at the University of Houston. In my first year at U of H I worked as a photographer at JCPenney Portraits, where I learned about posing and selling the most awkward family & couple photos you have ever seen. From my time at U of H I learned a great deal about photography as an art form and the history of photography. Unfortunately, the program did not lend itself to teaching us much about Portrait photography or the business side of photography, so taking incredible portraits for all of my projects was out of the question. For our final project, my class held an art show where, once again, I sold more prints than any of my classmates. After graduating U of H with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts specialty in photography, I worked at a Studio that specialized in taking model portfolios. While I learned a great deal about the business there the job lacked the creativity that I thrive off of, so after a year, I quit working there to focus on my business full time. Which brings us to today, where my sole focus is creating images for people to love, and I could not be happier. Thank you for reading and helping make my dream a reality.

As of July 2025, my wife and I have recently moved to Boston, MA. The move was prompted by her getting into law school. I am still accepting jobs in Houston, TX; however, they have to be larger projects with a budget of $1,500 or more. I am also open to flying back to Houston for groups of people/families who would all like sessions.
